Hey guys!!!

So I know I haven't uploaded anything in quite a while, but I'm back, and I'm hoping that I will be able to fit blogging into my schedule a few times a week (I have a HUGE load of school, including Latin...). Anyways, I have been crazy at work trying to create looks for you guys, even though I haven't had any luck with my camera! haha! But here's a little preview if you will of the looks I've created that you just might see in the future...

  • Fire (Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender)
  • Water (Katara from ATLA)
  • Earth (Toph from ATLA)
  • Love (Ty Lee from ATLA)
  • Darkness, I guess? I don't know.... lol (Mai from ATLA)
  • Another wearable everyday look
  • Fun, sparkly purple look
  • And I think another one that I can't remember...
My favorite out of those is probably Earth and Fire. Water pretty cool too, as are the others, but those two are my favies. :D

So I guess I should throw you guys out some lil' tidbittys... Hmmmm, let's see... What have I bought lately... Nothing really. I don't know if I told you guys about the e.l.f. (eyes lips face, available at Target) lip stain that I got, but it's horrible. Don't get it. lol

I also got this to die for jewel-y purple nail polish from N.Y.C. (94 cents, uh, shyah!!) called Purple Pizazz Frost. The name makes it sound all... frosty, but it's not. It's this gorgeous, deep, dark purple and I'm absolutely in love with it. And, it was only 94 cents, so that just makes it even better. :)

Well, I think that's all. I will be back later (not tomorrow, most likely) and I will be better than ever!!!!! Well, not really, but you get the drift. :)

Sorry!

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I have so busy this summer! I was at the beach for the past week and I didn't have my laptop so I couldn't update. I didn't really have time to either, so even if I did have it I couldn't have written anything.

But now, I'm back, and ready to share everything!

Now I know Summer is on the verge of being over, but some of you may want to know this for future reference, or you my be going to the beach soon (like me, I'll explain in a minute). Anyway, I want to recommend a sunscreen for your face that does not a) run into your eyes, b) feel greasy and make your face feel gross, c) make your face pasty looking, but DOES protect your face and make it feel nice and soft. And that sunscreen is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock. Mine is SPF 45, mainly because that was the only one at Target. I recommend it for anyone.

I'm also going to describe to you my daily beach-vacation makeup routine. Bronzer, cream blush, mascara. That's it. If we were going out to eat I'd throw on my everyday neutral look (see blog post). And most of the time with my hair I'd just throw it up into a loose bun. Pretty much effortless, but I still looked great, in my humble opinion.

Anyways, off the subject of beauty for a moment, I'm going to South Florida tomorrow until Friday. It's for Girl Scouts. We're using the money we earned from selling cookies to go to Ft. Lauderdale. As my mother used to live there, she's going to be our tour guide (ugh, what's up with my spelling today? I almost spelled that "gide"!). On Thursday we're going snorkeling. I'm half super-duper-excited, and half super-duper-scared. Okay, it's more like 60/40. I just don't really like the idea of me being at the surface with 15 feet of open water beneath me. And if I see a bull or tiger shark (which I doubt I will, but hey) I will freak. Because those two, along with Great Whites are the most aggressive and deadliest sharks. But I am excited to see all the fishies and the coral reef. That'll be fun.

Anyways, that's all for today. I won't be updating tomorrow through Sunday, but I'll start updating again soon after that. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!!

Best. Mascara. EVAR.

So today I had to go shopping for party stuff for my bro's bday party, and since I was already at Walmart, I figured "hey, my mascara is almost past it's usage abilities, so I should get a new one while I'm here). Okay, actually, I knew I was going since the day before, so I had it all planned out. Anyway, I had done my mascara research, and I was 97% sure that I was getting LashBlast. But, of course, I got to Target (we went there first) and got overwhelmed. So I decided to just think about it and wait until we were at Walmart and just get it there. So I'm at Walmart. Many choices. Very hard. Then, in the corner of my eye, I see the Rimmel London section.

Let me tell you. Looking at the Rimmel London stuff was the best makeup choice I have ever made. Because now I have found the most amazing mascara in the entire world. It is called...

Glam'Eyes Lash Flirt mascara.

Oh my gobstopper, it's amazing. The brush is so awesome, as is the mascara itself. I love the brush though, because it has four sides- two sides with longer bristles, two with shorter ones. One set of bristles makes my lashes long, and the other set makes them thick. It's not clumpy at all, by any means, it defines my lashes amazingly, and well, it's the best mascara ever. At least, of the ones I've tried. I definitely recommend it. It's AMAZING.

I know it's late, but I just had to tell you guys that.

Aqua Summer look!

Yay! Summer is currently in the works, and so to celebrate, I figured I would give you guys something fun, playful, and of course, summery to wear! I absolutely ADORE this look! Now I actually filmed a video, and I stayed in the shot the whole time, but, alas, my camera is stinky and the quality turned out horrible. Therefore, you get another text tutorial. But, as long as you look at the finished picture you should be able to figure it out... I hope...

Oh well, moving on!

1. Apply your eyeshadow base, if you have one. If not, that's fine, the eyeshadow is pretty bright anyway. Now that that's done, let's move on.

2. Take a standard eyeshadow brush and dip it in a little cup of water that you have sitting next to you. If you don't have one, go get one. And no, you can't dip it in Dr. Pepper. ;] Dry off the excess water. We don't the brush to be sopping wet. Then dip your brush in this color (see below), and apply all over your lid, stopping at the crease. It's almost as if you're painting your lid. Do this until you've achieved the color you want.

3. Now with a dry brush, take this brown (see below) and apply that just above and in your crease (make sure the aqua is dry first). Get a little bit more on your brush and apply it a tiny bit on the top of the aqua color, to give it a kind of gradient effect.

4. Using the same dry brush, apply this dark blue (see below) in the outer corner and crease, just to darken it up a bit. We don't want it to be dark blue, we want it to be a darker aqua.

5. Next dip an angled eyeliner brush into your water, dry any excess, and dip it in this blue (see below). Apply that to the outer half of your lower lash line.

6. Clean of that brush, dip it in water again, dry the excess, and this time dip it in this light aqua (see below), and apply it to the inner half of your lower lash line. Then blend the two color together in the middle so they fade into each other. Then using the same technique that we've been using (the water one), apply the blue that we used on the outer half of the lower lash line to the upper lash line. You can also add a wing if you want (I did).

8. Using your dry eyeshadow brush, pack this very light aqua (see below) onto the middle of the lid, just to brighten it up.

9. Apply a white highlight to your brow bone and inner corner, slap on some mascara, and you're good to go!

Again, I know the pictures aren't too good, but you can kind of tell what it's supposed to look like. :P

My go-to everyday neutral look

So today we are learning my go-to neutral makeup look. I did a video, but I wasn't very good at staying in the frame, as I couldn't see the back of my camera (I need to invest in a good one), so I am going to explain it to you in text. I have a picture of what it looks like at the end, and I have pictures of the colors I used, but sadly, no pictures or proper video of how to do the look. That being said, let's get started!

First off, start with a gold-bronze color. I'm using this one from the Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette (all the colors I use are from this palette).

Apply that all over your lid, stopping at the crease.

Next take a dark bronzey color (that's the best I can describe it), and apply it in your crease, and blend it.

Then apply a dark chocolate brown color into the outer half of your crease and the outer corner of your eye. Blend that in.

If you have any dark areas, put a skin color shadow over and around them and blend.

Then apply a white highlight color to your brow bone and inner corner.

Now this is where I stop if I'm just waking up, putting on makeup, and leaving. Well, I actually put on mascara too. If you want to amp this up a little bit for more glamour or for night, then keep going.

Line your waterline and upper lash line with a dark brown color. I used Wet n' Wild's Idol Eyes Retractable eyeliner in Mink Brown. Smudge the upper line with an angled eyeliner brush so it's not as harsh.

Then I line my upper lash line with a very thin line of Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Baked. Let that dry.

Then put on some mascara and your eyes are done! For blush, I like to go with a neutral color, like a soft pink or coral color. I tend to go with a bright lip for this look, because the eyes are very natural looking.

I really like this look because it's so extremely easy and fast to do, and it looks very natural while still looking polished. I hope you like it too!

I promise that the next tutorial will be better quality. ;]

P.S. I know the eye pictures are crappy. Sorry bout that! Maybe sometime I'll upload some better ones. :)

My Want-To-Buys

Hey guys! So, if you've ever read my other blog, Confessions of a Brown-Eyed Girl, you'll know who I am. I kind of felt like my other blog was about to take a turn into being a makeup blog, so I decided to make this one, so now the two won't collide. Okay, they might, but whatever. ;]

So today's post is about my "want-to-buys". So let's get started.

1. A lighted vanity mirror. I'm think about the Conair Illumina Lighted Makeup Mirror, but I'm not quite sure. Some reviews say it's amazing, some say not. Juicystar07 has it and she said that she liked it. There is another one from Jerdon that is similar, but I'm not sure about that one either. I think I'd be more likely to get the Conair one, though.

2. The e.l.f Professional Complete Set of 12 Brushes. It has all the brushes that I need at the moment, for a good price, and e.l.f's brushes are apparently quite good.

3. Benefit's You Rebel Lite. If you don't know what this is, it is a tinted moisturizer. I tried this at Sephora a few weeks ago, and I really liked it. It gave good coverage, and it didn't feel too heavy. It also has SPF 15 in it, which is a total plus. I definitely want to get this before the summer ends.

4. An eyelash curler. I had one, but I seem to have misplaced it, and I can not find it. At all. Whatsoever. So I'm just going to pick up a cheap- *ahem*- inexpensive one from Wal-Mart. Or Target. Or Walgreen's. I don't care. :]

5. Aquolina Pink Sugar Rollon Perfume. I love, love, LOVE this perfume!! I like rollons better because you can control how much you want on, and avoid half of the perfume landing in the air, which is what happens with spray bottles.

6. Sula Roll-On Perfume Collection. I first smelled these a while ago, and I love, love, love them!! The set includes all the kinds of scents you could ever need. From fun, summery orange to sweet, sultry vanilla, these perfumes are to die for.

So those are the things that I really want right now. Mind you, I do not plan to buy these all at the same time. That would just be crazy. Well, maybe not for some people, with money, but for me, it's kind of difficult.

My next post is going to be a makeup tutorial. Probably my everyday go-to neutral look. :]

Stay beautiful (in Him). ♥
